Depth: By the number of meshes or by feet or meters 

Length: By the number of meshes or by feet, yards, meters and fathoms. 

Size of meshes: 

Full mesh: Counted by inches 

Half mesh: Counted by mm 

Note: When measuring the dimension of mesh (full or half mesh), 

be sure to stretch the mesh straight diagonally. 

The direction of knots: 

1. Vertical knot: Knots are knitted in the depth direction of net. 

2. Horizontal knot: Knots are knitted in the length direction of net.

尼龍

抗拉強度較特多龍佳。其缺點耐光性差，紫外線下會變黃，造成強度減低和產生脆化現象。
尼龍怕酸，可用一般鹽酸檢驗材質。常用於持久性安全網如室內樓梯防墜網、樓梯天井防護網等。
使用期限建議約3年~5年汰換

特多龍

耐光性佳，長時間暴晒於日光下亦不變黃。耐酸方面則較尼龍俱抵抗性，其外觀與尼龍很像，價格比尼龍稍低些。常用於持久性安全網如室外遊樂場攀爬網、大樓天井防墜網等。
使用期限建議約4年~5年汰換。

防火特多龍

阻燃，其材質不能完全百分百防火，經過阻燃處理後的網繩會降低燃燒速度和離開火源後能夠迅速停止燃燒，因此阻燃是相對的而不是絕對的。一般被要求使用於小孩、老人居住環境如
老人養護中心樓梯防墜網、幼稚園欄杆防護網等。使用期限建議約4年~5年汰換。

PE(高密度聚乙烯)

高密度聚乙烯耐候性高，其材質不吸水、比重輕。對於酸性和鹼性液體的抵抗力很優良，應用於假設性安全網如鋼構防墜網、電梯口防墜網等。使用期限建議約18個月~24個月。
